Introduction

Our mission: We provide the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its partners with timely intelligence and information to keep the homeland safe, secure and resilient. We are charged with delivering intelligence to our state, local, tribal, territorial and private sector partners and developing intelligence from those partners for DHS and the Intelligence Community.

What does DHS I&A do?

As a member of the Intelligence Community (IC), we keep the homeland safe, secure and resilient by providing DHS and its partners with timely intelligence and information. We are the only element of the IC that is charged with delivering intelligence to our state, local, tribal, territorial and private sector partners, and developing intelligence from those partners for the department and the IC.

Our areas of focus include:

  • Counterterrorism
  • Cyber threat analysis
  • Economic security
  • Transnational organized crime

We are the eyes and ears of DHS, sounding the alarm when anyone or anything threatens our homeland.

Who we work with

We work with professionals from across other intelligence and law enforcement organizations.

Our I&A Partner Engagement (PE) team manages strategic relationships with key partners across federal, state, local, tribal, territorial, private sector and international stakeholders.

Locations

Headquarters: Washington, D.C. area

We also have some positions in cities across the nation, where you will work in Fusion Centers with state and local authorities.
