DIVERSITY, EQUITY, INCLUSION AND ACCESSIBILITY PROGRAM

We will not rest until our space professionals feel like they truly belong and are thriving.

The Department of the Air Force, in support of both the U.S. Air Force and U.S. Space Force, stood up a Diversity and Inclusion Task Force to address the issue of racial, ethnic and other demographic disparities and their impact on the forces.

The task force is charged with identifying and changing policies, procedures, barriers and other practices that may unfairly impact underrepresented Space Force professionals.

The task force is task-organized across five lines of effort:

  • Culture and policy
  • Education, training and testing
  • Recruiting and accessions
  • Workforce diversity
  • Aircrew diversity

The United States Space Force (USSF) is committed to recruiting and retaining diverse talent and is in the process of establishing a clear diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) vision, framework, and strategy for the organization. The strategy will support the service’s growth as outlined in the Guardian Ideal publication, including supporting the Space Force in attracting top talent, maximizing its workforce and fostering an equitable work environment. To achieve this goal, the Space Force has teamed up with an international advisory organization to support the service’s DEI goals to develop an effective and enduring program.
