The mission of the Office of Intelligence and Analysis (I&A) is to provide DHS and its partners with timely intelligence and information to keep the homeland safe, secure and resilient. I&A is a member of the U.S. Intelligence Community (IC) and is the only IC element charged with delivering intelligence to our state, local, tribal, territorial and private sector partners, and developing intelligence from those partners for the Department and the IC.

At I&A, our primary goal is to keep the homeland safe, and we do that by empowering our employees to excel. You will work among a team of professionals with unique but complementary skill sets. We offer excellent training and career development opportunities, as well as tuition assistance to expand the breadth and depth of your expertise. Flexible scheduling and telework are available for some positions to foster work/life balance. We also have a health and wellness program to help our employees stay healthy and energized. For more information, see our Benefits page.

Most I&A employees work in the Washington, D.C., area, with convenient access to public transportation, museums, art galleries, night life and much more. Some opportunities are also available in cities across the nation, where you will work in Fusion Centers with state and local authorities.

As a I&A employee, you may have the opportunity to work with professionals from many other intelligence and law enforcement organizations. I&A has a robust state and local engagement program whose mission is to ensure that state and local partners can access the capabilities, resources and expertise necessary to share information and intelligence, and serve as full participants in the homeland security intelligence enterprise.
